Job Summary

Position Summary This position controls all accounting and reporting functions ensuring adequate controls to protect Company assets and operational effectiveness. Ensures relevant timely and accurate reporting of complex operations and effective support of operations and financial management. Works as part of a team which has the responsibility for the planning reporting and financial decision support for the West Elk Mine Somerset Responsibilities Accept embrace and promote the following Core Values of CORE Natural Resources: Safety Sustainability and Continuous Improvement Maintains an effective system of internal controls ensuring compliance with corporate and generally accepted standards of accounting and reportingDirects the processes of recording reviewing and reporting the operations performance with a focus on continuous improvement in terms of accuracy timeliness relevance and costAssists mine management in managing capital expenditures to optimize economic performance. Oversees inventory and overall asset managementPerforms special projects as directed by the Operations Controller Chief Accounting Office or the General Manager of West Elk monthly closing responsibilities and related cost/analytical and auditing responsibilitiesSupports activities related to annual capital/operating budgets labor standards key initiative reporting Operations performance forecasts capital project review and approval analysis and reviewRequired Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related fieldFive years accounting experience. Mining or manufacturing experience preferredStrong organizational skills detail-oriented and the ability to meet established guidelinesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office ApplicationsExcellent leadership and communication skills; ability to prioritize Demonstrates a positive attitude and a strong work ethicCompensation and BenefitsPay rate: Salaried Exempt $110000 - $135000 annually Eligible for Performance Recognition Plan (bonus)Benefits: Medical dental vision life insurance AD&D insurance 401(k) retirement plan HSA FSA paid holidays vacation.
