THE ROLE

As the Senior Systems Engineering Manager in Madrid you will serve as the strategic anchor and inspirational leader for a high-performing technical sales team within our Enterprise business. You will partner closely with Sales Directors to establish operational objectives and drive revenue positioning Pure Storage as the defining technology partner for our clients in the region. By fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth you will empower your team to solve complex business challenges and champion the adoption of our cutting-edge solutions across the Spanish market.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Build and Develop Talent: Recruit mentor and retain a diverse team of top-tier Systems Engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and engagement that aligns individual career growth with organizational revenue goals.
• Drive Strategic Sales Alignment: Partner with Sales leadership to analyze territory dynamics and forecast objectives deploying technical resources and channel partners effectively to maximize market penetration and deal success.
• Ensure Technical Excellence: Oversee the quality of the technical sales lifecyclefrom complex architecture designs and RFPs to proof of conceptsensuring your team delivers compelling value-based solutions that address critical customer business drivers.
• Champion Innovation: Act as the technical voice of the field synthesizing customer feedback and competitive insights to collaborate with Product Management and Engineering directly influencing the continuous improvement of Pures product roadmap.
• Cultivate Relationships: Build strong trust-based relationships across the organization and with external partners (CSA/SI/ISV) to facilitate business development and expand Pures footprint in the country.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Technical Sales Leadership: Proven experience leading coaching and motivating technical pre-sales teams in an Enterprise environment with a track record of driving revenue and developing high-performing talent.
• Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of the data storage landscape including virtualization (VMware HyperV) cloud architectures and database environments (Oracle SQL) with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to C-level executives.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Advanced capability in resource management negotiation and problem-solving with the agility to navigate complex engineering designs and business challenges simultaneously.
• Communication & Language: Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills are essential. Fluency Fluent English and Spanish is required. (Fluency in Portuguese is a preferred asset).
• Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Madrid office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
