Role Summary:The Night Host performs all Welcome Desk duties during the overnight shift hours. This includes making reservations registering and rooming guests fulfilling guest needs preparing accurate nightly reports and completing audit reports. Responsibilities: - Answers the hotel main phone line utilizing telephone etiquette skills.
- Acquires and relays information that personalizes the guest stay.
- Provides answers to guests questions and follows through on all guest requests
- Takes food and beverage orders for In Room Dining.
- Manages paperwork and requests as designated by Front Office Manager Lead Host Guest Service Manager and Personal Hosts.
- Manages the Guest Preference Hotline.
- Understands applicable emergency procedure and evacuation protocol
- Be familiar with all hotel facts and directions to hotel.
- Maintains close and harmonious working relationships with all hotel departments.
- Upsells the guest to preferred rooms to maximize revenue.
- Checks Guest History for past information on the guest to provide personalized service.
- Maintains knowledge of room types and the protocol for selling rooms based on restrictions and length of stay.
- Offers creative and alternative suggestions to guests and sources hard-to-find items when needed.
- Coordinates guest and staff requests for Stage Banquet Maintenance needs.
- Handles guests messages and mail (if applicable).
- Utilizes the FLASH report and Outlook calendar (i.e. selling status)
- Follows credit policy and procedures of the hotel.
- Assists in setting up spa appointments.
- Be fluent with Opera PMS Guest History Reservations Ibahn Digital Alchemy Micro Systems Microsoft Outlook and any other pertinent hotel operational technology.
- Transports guests and other associates in company vehicles.
- Understands applicable emergency and evacuation protocol.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent education
Experience
- Background in a luxury hospitality environment or a related field is strongly preferred but willingness to learn the aspects of personalized and luxury service is more important.
- Background in customer service preferred.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Neat and clean appearance
- Ability to follow through impeccably on details.
- Great enthusiasm and passion for making people happy.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have a flexible schedule; able to work nights weekends and holidays.
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and a clear motor vehicle record.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs on occasion.
