Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results
- Collaborate with clinicians to discuss findings and treatment options
- Conduct autopsies and provide expert opinions on cause of death
- Manage pathology lab operations and ensure compliance with regulations
- Educate medical staff and residents on pathology-related topics
- Engage in continuous professional development and training
- Contribute to research initiatives and clinical trials as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in pathology or eligibility for certification
- Experience in a clinical pathology setting preferred
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient care and ethical practice
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-6p
1:2 beeper call rotation
Skillsets: Anatomic clinical and surgical
Case Types: Breast OB/GYN some GI pulmonology and autopsies
Will participate in tumor boards in the morning
Infusion included
Team Structure: Additional pathologist
Preferred Experience: 5 years
Must be board-certified
