About Our Unit:

Our CVOR is the heart of innovation at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. We specialize in cardiac vascular and thoracic surgeriesfor both adult and pediatric patients. As a high-volume advanced heart failure center we perform a high volume of LVAD mechanical circulatory support and transplant procedures offering nurses unparalleled experience in advanced surgical care. We are also a regional leader in pediatric cardiac surgery providing life-saving interventions for our youngest addition our team handles complex vascular and thoracic cases giving nurses a diverse and enriching skill set.

Were Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Cardiovascular Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

What Youll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe therapeutic care in accordance with established standards policies and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice clinical decision making compassion and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

About This Location:

Atrium Healths Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health which is distinguished throughout the Southeastern United States for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the regions only Level 1 Trauma center is Magnet-designated and also an approved transplant center for heart kidney pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolinas five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill.
