Heres What You Need
Bachelor of Nursing degree (BSN) Required
Two (2) Years Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) required
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required
CWCN- Certified Wound Continence Nurse within 6 months required or
CWON - Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse within 6 months required or
CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence within 6 months required
One year of Wound Care/WOC RN experience strongly preferred
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 90 days required
High degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift inter-hospital and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

CWON- Inpatient Wound Care PRN

Work location: Texas Health Southwest 6100 Harris Parkway Fort Worth TX 76132 and Texas Health Clearfork 5400 Clearfork Main Street Ft. Worth TX 76109
Work hours: PRN As needed - WOC is open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00 so this position will work 1-2 days per week to help meet the needs within the department.
