Position Description: Vice-President Global Tax Advisory
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President Tax the role is responsible for managing Sun Lifes global tax planning and advisory agenda. The incumbent leads the strategic direction for the team and the talent development of the tax advisory resources. He or she oversees the design and execution of tax strategies the management of tax controversies and the delivery of tax support to Sun Life businesses. The VP Global Tax Advisory monitors Canadian and International tax developments that are relevant to Sun Life and advises position leads a team including a number of Assistant Vice-Presidents operating within the tax function and certain other tax specialists.

Giving consideration to tax risk the VP Global Tax Advisory makes decisions and recommends courses of action to the SVP Tax and other stakeholders.
