Global Markets eCommerce Fixed Income

The BBVA Global Markets eCommerce team is seeking a candidate with ION Trading experience and an expertise in Credit products. The individual will be partnering with and supporting trading sales and clients directly on all aspects of electronic trading. This includes but is not limited to client support technical support automated pricing definition project management change management BAU administration input into strategy definition as well as a range of other activities supporting the Global Markets business as a whole. The individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be comfortable on a trading floor in order to successfully deliver in a high stress environment.

Requirements:

• Experience using and supporting ION PXE or a similar pricing engine

• Fixed Income platform experience (Bloomberg Tradeweb Marketaxess)

• An understanding of Fixed Income Credit products and concepts

• Familiarity with the trading life cycle from front to back and straight through processing (STP)

• Understand and be able to prioritize business strategies and requirements

• Ensure stability across the banks eCommerce environment liaising with IT resources to correct any faults and issues and respond to questions

• Partner with Sales and Trading desks and act as a partner to grow the business

• Vendor management: develop relationships with market vendors and platform providers.

Qualifications/Education required:

• Academic background in Computer Science Engineering. Finance or related will be desirable.

Experience Required:

• Experience working in FI eTrading environment.

• Knowledge of eTrading workflows.

• Functional experience of D2D/D2C markets (Bloomberg Tradeweb MarketAxess).

• Experience of fixed income pricing engines & preferably knowledge of ION.

• Experience gathering user requirements defining scope managing expectations and UAT setup & testing to Production deployment and support.

• Experience supporting electronic Credit trading will be desirable.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in particular ability to communicate with trading and sales teams on a trading floor.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize issues requests and projects from trading sales and clients simultaneously.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

• Good FI knowledge.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Knowledge of programming concepts.

• Previous experience with FI eCommerce systems.
