Job Summary

Summary

Serves as a career coach and guide for employees seeking career counseling and skills upgrading/enhancement. Arranges and/or administers assessments through a Health System career assessment center. Provides follow-up counseling to employees which will enable them to receive the job advancement training required to earn a promotion or transition to other viable positions within the organization. Provides job retention services facilitates information exchange and acts as a liaison between hospital departments and program administrators. Coordinates skills upgrading and occupational training/education with the Health Systems Skills Enhancement Program community training programs and post-secondary institutions. Performs case management and data management duties to record and monitor participants progress through the program; composes and generates complex reports and correspondence. This position reports to the Director of the HR Assessment Center & Career Development Office (REACH/CEP) and is intended to address the employment engagement skill upgrading/enhancement and retention issues for the Johns Hopkins Hospital & Health System.

Education: Masters preferred or equivalent work experience Bachelors required.

Work Experience: A minimum of two years of professional career counseling case management and outcome reporting experience is required; marketing and/or educational instruction experience is beneficial. Bilingual/Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Salary Range: $26.12 /hour - $43.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
