Could you be the VIE - Project Quality Engineer (m/f) for Rolling Stock & Components (RSC) in Mannheim we are looking for

Take on a new challenge within the Quality Department and collaborate with a dynamic results-driven this pivotal role you will ensure project and engineering quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Your future role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the Development for Quality (DFQ) process and ensuring project/design maturity for Go/No-Go decisions.
  • Supporting the organization with training and making acceptance criteria transparent.
  • Facilitating Design Reviews independently assessing design maturity documenting findings (Minutes of Meeting Design Review Checklist) and reporting results.
  • Acting as the prefered interface for all project quality-related topics.
  • Guiding the engineering community on Design Review criteria to ensure proper gate preparation.
  • Organizing quality awareness initiatives and delivering or supporting training as needed.
  • Promoting preventive quality measures in engineering (e.g. critical item assessments) and addressing quality issues through root-cause analysis (e.g. 8D problem-solving).

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or equal education
  • Experience with quality and problem solving tools
  • Knowledge about requirements management and configuration management
  • Awareness of project processes and products
  • Knowledge on Standards (IRIS ISO 9001)
  • Technical analysis skills particularly in CONQ
  • Fluent in German and or English
