About the role

Youll be hands-on in delivering complex projects and providing expert engineering advice. Youll lead field testing and commissioning activities for secondary systems ensuring compliance safety and quality standards. Your main focus will be the testing and commissioning of protection control and secondary systems for generation and transmission in hydro power stations. Youll also mentor team members contribute to project management and support business development initiatives.

Base salary starting from $144679 plus super

Your Key Responsibilities

• Deliver best-practice field testing and engineering consulting services for hydro/generation power station secondary/protection systems FAT SAT and commissioning.
• Lead the development of ITPs isolation sheets and work procedures.
• Provide technical reviews and approvals for ITPs test and commissioning reports and project documentation.
• Offer technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
• Prepare major project estimates and proposals for internal and external clients.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Your Skills & Experience

• Expert knowledge and minimum 10 years experience and knowledge in testing and commissioning of secondary systems controls and protection schemes for high-energy generation and transmission.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Skilled computer user especially for the use of automated protection testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members.
