RESPEC seeks a Student Mine Reclamation Engineering Intern located in our Cheyenne WY office. This position will be part of our 2026 Summer Internship Program. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience with a growing North American engineering consulting firm.
The intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week during the summer with the potential option to work an average of 10 to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
Primary activities include assisting with designs specifications and field work during the summer season. Field work will include the inventory of abandoned mine lands in and around Wyoming. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineering staff in these areas.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Must be working toward a bachelor of science or advanced degree in geological mechanical mining civil engineering or related field
- Ability to operate all-terrain vehicles hike and backpack/lift 50 pounds
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to be self-motivated
Preferred:
- Strong computer skills experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro

Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience. No benefits are offered except those that are required for statutory purposes.
