Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical/Telemetry will provide direct patient care in an acute care setting delivering safe high-quality nursing care to adult patients. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills telemetry monitoring experience and the ability to work independently with minimal orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
Perform accurate patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications initiate IVs and obtain laboratory specimens
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Adhere to patient safety infection control and regulatory standards
Work assigned weekends and holidays per unit requirements
Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
Prior Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
Oncology experience preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
