Our business focuses on aligning colleagues applications and projects for our Long Standing customer and Annuities value stream.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced people lead with an in-depth analysis background to join the Senior Lead Analyst team. We are looking for someone with strong domain knowledge who can hit the ground running initial focus will be on major integration programme.

As Senior Lead Analyst you are accountable for overseeing and supporting complex business analysis within projects and programmes within your allocated Value Stream. Along with the wider SLA team you are responsible for defining a framework for the Business Analysis function that ensures outputs delivered by their teams add value meet business needs and are of a high standard. Building a collaborative and motivated Analysis function through fostering a positive culture where everyone feels engaged is a fundamental part of the SLA role.

When required you will steer major programmes of work providing thought leadership and to support project recovery. Supporting their Analysis Managers on both a people and a project perspective is key and you will act as point of escalation for both these areas

Collaborating with senior leaders across the business to understand and translate the business strategy you will play a lead role in the planning and execution of all Business Analysis work. Key to the continued success will be focussing on improving the capability of individuals within the team as well as the overall function.

About the role

  • Manage analysis colleagues in your business area so that you deliver great performance through motivating and engaging them and developing their capability.
  • Accountable for the personal and skills development development needs training strategy and succession planning for analysis colleagues in your business area.
  • Coaching and mentoring analysts providing guidance and training reviewing their work if needed and helping them to develop their analytical skills.
  • Have a thorough understanding of your Value Stream and their priorities to guide and influence the change agenda
  • Guiding and influencing analysis at portfolio level ensuring optimal sequencing and allocation of scope and analysis effort during business and portfolio planning
  • Self-motivated decisive with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Support the recruitment selection assessment on-boarding and transitioning of analysis colleagues in your business area.
  • Collaborate with Senior Lead Analysts in other business areas to deliver a consistent approach and quality of analysis across the Transformation function.
  • Oversee the performance of external analysis partner resource.

About you

  • Experience of leading both individuals and teams.
  • Expert Knowledge and experience of Analysis. Considers all aspects of business change.
  • Expert in applying specialist knowledge across various business areas and maintains commercial and customer focus.
  • Expert in establishing and maintaining relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders to establish credibility solve problems build consensus and achieve objectives.
  • Advanced in communicating complex concepts and articulating principles and drivers for change.
  • Experience of delivering projects in both an Agile and Waterfall methodology.
  • Confidently lead and set activities/workload for other analysts within a project
  • Collaborate with Senior Lead Analysts in other business areas to deliver a consistent approach and quality of analysis across the Transformation function
