Purpose of the job:
- Execute and Manages the Services Engineering activities in CML1 55 Trains Project
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES :
- Manages Project engineering resources.
- Creates the engineering strategy.
- Produces the technical development plan and the engineering work breakdown.
- Monitors progress of engineering studies and QCD achievements.
- Supports the implementation and update of engineering risks mitigation plan.
- Maintains and develops engineering skills and competencies (leveraging with WCE).
- Collaborate with Corporate Services Engineering and Platforms to improve Services portfolio of products and services and Participates actively in the Services Engineering network.
- Assures efficient parts codification in line with Platform rules: materials identification codification process interfaces with Alstom systems quality and normative requirements.
- Manage and update the baseline of the train (software configurations
- Owns the Configuration and Design Change Management and Engineering Management Processes.
- Analyses the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes promoting action plans to improve them.
- Optimizes the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
- Develops standardized tools/processes improving efficiency in maintenance activities.
- Develops the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure quality updates and comprehensiveness of the maintenance documentation (maintenance plan maintenance manuals configuration spare parts list tools as per needs ( RAMS customer )
- Supports cost reduction actions with sourcing and industrial.
- Manages the technical performances of the systems and provide REX to relevant Services Platform.
- Detects defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
- Manage the process of classifications following identifying the root causes and solving the repetitive failures with the related party (design supplier service engineering . )
- Assures the update of the technical documentation of the projects with all modifications through the change process inclusive of the interface with the MMIS and application of the correct standards and regulations.
- Proposes innovative solutions and develops and implements R&D programs and new technologies in the maintenance project.
- Risk assessments for any proposed changes
- Assessment and authorization for maintenance concession requests.
- Maintain Safety Related Item List updated.
- Supports the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner.
- Manages Obsolescence Plan.
- Captures and ensures ownership of regulations and standards to be applied.
- Interfaces with the stakeholders in the Certification processes.
- Management of risks and savings related to the LCC & Proposes actions to optimize Maintenance plans and LCC.
- Calculates material parts and time consumption.
- Investigation and identification of optimization opportunities (Reliability Maintainability and maintenance costs) by using recognized methods such as RCM and promoting the use of latest maintenance solutions such as HeathHub / PHM.
- Lead Reliability FRACAS and change management meetings
- Reliability KPIs monitoring and elaboration of the routine reliability report
- Elaborate project monthly maintenance report (contractual reliability and availability targets)
- Ensure the team has the right capabilities and certification to manage maintenance engineering responsibilities and manage development plan accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with DFQ expectations
- Manage the process of Materials alternatives maximize the localization of spare parts and consumables
- Support the maintenance teams as needed
- Following the modifications and retrofitting activities with Project engineering team
Educational Requirements:
University degree in Railway Engineering Electronics Computer Science Automation Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Mandatory:
- More than 5 years of experience in Railways system/Application engineering
- Knowledge of rolling stock equipment systems
- Knowledge of ERP and MMIS systems
- Knowledge of standard maintenance engineering processes
Desirable:
- Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance
- Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
- Proficient in the use of MS Office SAP GSI BI/BO
