A Day in the Life:
Primary responsibility of the Elevator Operator III is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling storage maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.
Position Details:
Monday Friday 7am 4pm
Hourly pay rate: $18.55 - $24.10
What Youll Be Doing:
- Assist in all areas of the loading unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck barge rail (location specific) and inspect barges trucks and railcars before loading.
- Operate and monitor more advanced grain handling equipment (grain dryer grain control room bin sweeps and locomotives) on a routine basis.
- Performs grain receiving weighing and grading.
- Perform repairs for more complex maintenance issues. (fabrication repairs etc.)
- Properly and accurately record all applicable documentation.
- Work in a highly quality controlled environment.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 4 years of experience
- Skilled in maintenance equipment operations safety programs and grain operations
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agricultural experience
- Welding and light fabrication experience
- High school diploma or GED
