Job Summary
Job Title: Test Lead
Role Purpose:
The Test Lead is responsible for leading the testing strategy planning and execution for software projects. This role ensures high-quality deliverables by coordinating testing activities managing the QA team and implementing best practices in testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the test strategy and test plans for projects
- Lead mentor and coordinate the QA/testing team to ensure timely and high-quality testing deliverables
- Manage and prioritize test execution including functional regression integration and system testing
- Collaborate with project managers business analysts and development teams to define testing requirements and scope
- Review and approve test cases scripts and documentation
- Monitor test progress track defects and report on testing metrics and quality status
- Ensure adherence to testing standards processes and best practices
- Identify process improvements to enhance test efficiency and coverage
Required Experience & Skills:
- 7 years of experience in software testing with leadership or managerial experience
- Strong experience in test planning strategy and execution
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies tools and QA processes
- Experience leading and mentoring QA/testing teams
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience in test automation strategy and integration with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Agile or DevOps development environments
- Experience in enterprise-level applications and large-scale testing projects
- Certifications such as ISTQB Test Manager or equivalent
