Job Summary
Industrial Elevator Engineer
Job Location: Ras Laffan Qatar
Contract Period: 6 months & Extendable
FAT: by client
Position Overview
The Industrial Elevator Engineer is responsible for the installation inspection of heavy-duty elevators used in industrial facilities such as factories warehouses power plants and construction sites. This role ensures elevators meet safety standards operate efficiently and support the movement of personnel and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise installation of new elevator systems.
- Conduct testing and commissioning to verify performance and safety.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on proper usage.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure elevators meet OSHA ASME EN and local regulatory standards.
- Implement safety protocols for high-risk industrial environments.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Expertise in PLCs automation and elevator control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
- Professional certification in elevator technology (preferred).
- 37 years of experience in industrial elevator systems.
- Familiarity with international elevator standards (ASME A17.1 EN 81 ISO).
Work Environment
- Industrial facilities construction sites and manufacturing plants.
- Exposure to high-noise high-temperature and heavy machinery environments.
- Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of PPE.
