35 hours per week 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Role Overview
The job holder will manage incoming payments ensuring accurate allocation of bill receipts and proper handling of client money in line with SRA Accounts Rules. The role involves close coordination with other team members collections team fee earners and clients to maintain compliance and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure staff location or services. All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program.
The main duties of the position are:
Record and allocate bill receipts promptly upon receipt from clients.
Identify client money received into office accounts and coordinate with other team members and fee earners to ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules.
Transfer client funds to designated client accounts in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve payment-related queries and support accurate and efficient financial processes.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications & Training
Some experience working as a Junior Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role ideally within a law firm.
Education to an A-Level standard or equivalent minimum requirement GCSE standard depending on career experience.
