You have the opportunity to be part of an exciting team and contribute to the design development and maintenance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) this role of Senior Electrical Engineer you are responsible for the development and maintenance of MR Hardware Subsystems/Components and will gain substantial knowledge of complex systems in a medical imaging environment. Together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers you play a crucial role in getting these systems/sub-systems to the required performance by developing the designs related to electrical electronics controls cabling etc. and looking for the best solutions within those boundaries. This requires broad orientation conceptual skills and a can do mentality keeping abreast with all trends and advancements in technology and medical imaging.
You are a part of Hardware Engineering Group under MRI Business located at Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre (HIC) Pune. HIC is playing a key role in Philips global strategy for Diagnostic Imaging. Your role:
Requirements design implementation test and integration of module/sub-system in accordance with thehigher-levelarchitectural requirements and design specifications
Ensuringthat the design is consistent with thehigher-levelarchitecture and requirements
Ensuringthat the proposed design would have the safety reliability and quality features built-in
Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance quality and cost criteria
Conduct concept and feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
Ensuringthat there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
Ensuringthe mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Ensuringthat the design modules meet the product certification requirements
Drawingup personal schedule and reports on progress
Beingabreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
Maintainingproduct and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
Youre the right fit if: (4 x bullets max)
- Completed engineering studies at University level; BE/BTech/ME/M-Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 3 to 6 years of experience
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods/tools (schematics/simulation) used in electrical design including cable harness
- Experience in Analog Mixed Signal Board Design and Power Electronics designs
- Experience in 16/32-bit microcontroller-based design and interfacing
- Knowledge of cable harness design including fiber optic cable
- Knowledge of communication interfaces like RS232 RS485 CAN Ethernet and USB
- Working knowledge of component selection connector selection and cable selection
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC standards and testing for conformance
- Knowledge of RF and Audio/video interface connector/cabling design will be added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in schematics and PCB design tools (e.g. Cadence / mentor Graphics)
- Knowledge of mechanical design compatibility aspects including cabling
- Knowledge of IEC 60601 standardswill be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Embedded Software Programming will be an added advantage
- Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software boundaries
- Knowledge of Global Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC FDA UL CE CSA etc.
- Hands-on experience with tools like AgileClear-quest Windchill or equivalent
- Disciplined team worker ability to work independently
- Able to guide and mentor young engineers in the team
- Result oriented team player
- Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team
- Excellent communication skills and Positive can do attitude
- Quality mindset in design and documentation
- Global and Cross-functional Experience/Skills in a Matrix Organization will be an added advantage
- New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Life Cycle Management
- Product Obsolescence Management/Sustenance and Value Engineering
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
