The Mission

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer your mission is to design build and maintain scalable maintainable and user-centric internal-facing web applications that support INGs Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) ambitions.

Your day to day

Working in INGs sustainability tribe puts you in a unique position where you get to build internal platforms that provide our colleagues and clients with the tools and insights needed to navigate the sustainability transition.

In this role we facilitate account managers and subject matter experts to directly engage with ING customers to propose and collaborate on projects that would help them transition to more sustainable industries or ways of working.

You will have the chance to work in mixed teams comprised of Data Engineers UXEs Data Analysts and of course fellow Full Stack Engineers. Together you will support the bank in identifying sustainable opportunities through enabling data-driven decision making.

Working closely with data producers and consumers you will also be part of the journey that ESG data takes from pipelines to insights and visualizations

Lastly you will be able to actively and constructively challenge and improve existing technical solutions and processes.

What youll bring to the team

Must Haves

• Ability to articulate complex problems in a clear and simple way
• Ownership mindset with the ability to deliver end-to-end
• Willingness to challenge existing solutions constructively
• Open to feedback with an egoless and growth-oriented mindset
• Strong frontend experience with React Vite Vitest and Web Components
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin (JVM-based languages)
• Solid experience with automated testing (unit integration system)
• Solid understanding and experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding and practical use of software design patterns and object-oriented programming
• Experience with relational databases
• Understanding of UI/UX principles for building intuitive user and data driven features

Would be a plus

• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with MS SQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a cloud environment
• Experience with data intensive products (analytics insights visualizations)
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams (DS UX DE DA)
• Interest or experience with ESG sustainability or other socially impactful data domains
