We are seeking a passionate nurturing and experienced Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Swindon starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children in their first year of school helping them develop essential skills across all areas of learning while fostering curiosity independence and confidence.

The Role
As a Reception Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will create a positive stimulating and safe environment where children feel valued and supported. Observation and assessment will be central to your practice ensuring every child receives the guidance and support they need to thrive.
You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure consistency across the Early Years phase. Communication with parents and carers is an important aspect of the role fostering strong home-school partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS lessons
Create a nurturing engaging and safe classroom environment
Observe and record childrens progress informing next steps
Support childrens personal social and emotional development
Deliver activities that encourage communication language and literacy
Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings training and CPD
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in EYFS/Reception
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be reflective adaptable and proactive
Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Early Career Teachers are welcome and will receive mentoring and guidance.
