We are seeking an enthusiastic committed and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Cambridge starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to teach pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 helping them consolidate learning develop independence and prepare for Year 6 and secondary school.

The Role
As a Year 5 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across all curriculum subjects. You will track progress identify gaps in learning and implement targeted strategies to ensure pupils achieve their potential. Promoting resilience independence and positive learning behaviours will be central to your practice.
You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants Key Stage 2 colleagues and senior leaders. Effective communication with parents and carers will also be key to supporting pupil progress.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
Monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform planning
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL learners
Maintain a structured positive and inclusive classroom environment
Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings CPD and school improvement initiatives
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5
Be confident delivering the national curriculum and assessments
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Show a clear commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Early Career Teachers are welcome and will receive mentoring.
