Student Thesis Worker Proactive Maintenance for X-Ray systems
We are seeking a motivated and talented student to join our Deetee-team as a Thesis Worker to support the study and develop proof of concept of proactive maintenance in different X-Ray systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge detector technologies and contribute to the advancement of Computed-Tomography (CT) systems used in medical imaging as well as security and industrial applications. The work will be closely integrated with our ongoing development projects and tailored to meet the requirements of an academic thesis.
Key Responsibilities:
Experimental Setup and Testing:
Conduct measurements of detector performance.
Cooperate with validation and test engineers to assemble the testing environment.
Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes signal generators X-ray sources and data acquisition systems.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop and optimize scripts (Python) for environment control and repeatability.
Develop and optimize scripts (Python) for data processing and visualization.
Use of AI tools and libraries (Python) to predict environment behavior.
Prepare detailed documentation and reports on test results and methodologies.
Collaboration and Learning:
Work closely with experienced engineers and scientists in the field of detector development.
Participate in regular project meetings and present findings to the team.
Gain a deeper understanding of CT systems and X-Ray detection and how they influence in our daily lives.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Currently enrolled in a Masters program in Computer Science Physics Electrical Engineering Applied Mathematics or a related field.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in programming and data analysis (Python and/or C).
Hardware and software integration with strong debugging skills and validation mindset.
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.
Personal Attributes:
Curiosity and enthusiasm for experimental research.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Duration and Location:
The thesis project is expected to take 612 months depending on the scope of the work and the academic requirements.
The position is based at Detection Technology offices Oulu or Espoo (Oulu as preferred location) with access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.
