App Architect 3 / Solution Architect
Role Type
- Contract to Hire (approx. 4 months before conversion eligibility)
Role Overview
The Solution Architect will:
- Lead and support application modernization initiatives.
- Provide architectural leadership across Salesforce integrations and custom Java applications.
- Partner closely with Product Owners within a productoriented operating model.
- Conduct customer journey mapping identify pain points and evaluate current systems.
- Define technical requirements solution designs and modernization roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Customer Engagement (50%)
- Interview business stakeholders and Veteranfacing teams to capture needs.
- Map the current customer journey and identify experience gaps.
- Determine whether the current solution stack supports business needs; if not outline gaps and requirements.
Architecture & Design
- Define endtoend technical architecture for new or modernized solutions.
- Advise on how to best leverage Salesforce capabilities (custom objects workflows integrations platform services).
- Support transitions from legacy systems and fragmented tools into a more unified architecture.
- Create integration patterns and data strategies that align with the target tech stack.
Preferred Technical Experience
Primary Focus
- Salesforce (core platform custom development integration patterns)
This is the main platformintends to grow.
Secondary / Bonus Skills
- Java fullstack background
- MuleSoft (target future integration layer)
- SSIS / SSRS understanding (current state)
- Power BI (target state for analytics)
- Experience evaluating or replacing 3rdparty applications
- Familiarity with Apachebased front-end environments
Current Tech Environment
- Many existing applications are 3rdparty tools.
- Reporting built on SSIS/SSRS today Power BI long-term.
- Integration future-state: MuleSoft.
- Modernization work is shifting toward Salesforce as the central platform.
- Custom Java development still exists in pockets of the environment.
