Job Summary
The Storekeeper is responsible for the receipt storage issuance and control of materials tools and equipment at site or warehouse. The role ensures proper inventory management accurate documentation and compliance with project and company procedures to support uninterrupted site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive inspect and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Store materials safely as per material type specifications and storage requirements.
Issue materials to site teams based on approved material requests.
Maintain accurate stock records bin cards and inventory logs.
Conduct regular stock checks physical inventory and reconciliation.
Ensure proper labeling tagging and identification of materials.
Coordinate with procurement QA/QC and site teams for material inspections and approvals.
Report shortages damages discrepancies or non-conforming materials.
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the store area.
Prepare inventory reports and assist in audits when required.
Requirements
Diploma / ITI / High School Certificate (logistics or stores background preferred).
Minimum 35 years of experience as a Storekeeper in construction or industrial projects.
Experience handling civil mechanical electrical or MEP materials.
Familiarity with inventory systems bin cards and material documentation.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory records.
Ability to coordinate with site procurement and QA/QC teams.
Good organizational and time management skills.
GCC project experience preferred.
