Commodity Trader – PNG Export Markets

This role is designed for a hands on commodity specialist with deep capability in kava coffee and cocoa export supply chains.

You will lead end to end trading with responsibility spanning farming practices cutting production grading quality control packing and export logistics.

Supply is sourced through community based producers and customary landholder structures in emerging origin markets.
Product is exported into regulated international destinations.

The mandate is clear.

You will spend time on the ground working directly with growers and production teams.
You will translate market demand into practical decisions across harvest processing and shipment planning.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience across the full kava value chain including farming processing grading quality control packing and shipping
  
• Working knowledge of coffee and cocoa supply chains within export environments
  
• Experience operating in emerging or Pacific origin markets including engagement with customary landholder groups
  
• Exposure to PNG Origin produce
  
• Ability to navigate community governance structures and local decision-making protocols
  
• Strong commercial negotiation skills with discipline around pricing and margin
  
• Sound understanding of export market requirements traceability and compliance
  
• Comfortable operating independently in regional or remote production settings
  
• Clear communicator who builds credibility through delivery
