We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Tanker Inspector to ensure tankers cargo tanks and related equipment meet all regulatory safety and structural integrity standards. This role plays a critical part in preventing failures maintaining compliance and protecting both personnel and the environment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude inspection experience and a deep understanding of safety regulations and documentation.
Perform visual and mechanical inspections of tanker units cargo tanks or storage tanks
Inspect welds valves piping structural components and safety systems
Conduct or assist with pressure testing leak testing and thickness testing
Verify compliance with DOT FMCSA OSHA and industry standards
Identify defects corrosion cracks or structural concerns
Document findings in detailed inspection reports
Recommend repairs maintenance or removal from service when necessary
Work closely with maintenance teams and management on corrective actions
Maintain inspection tools gauges and testing equipment
Follow all company and site-specific safety protocols
Experience in mechanical inspection heavy equipment tankers or industrial equipment
Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards
Ability to read technical drawings and inspection criteria
Comfortable working in shop and outdoor environments
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Basic computer skills for reporting

NDT experience (UT MT PT VT)
Welding inspection background (CWI)
DOT cargo tank inspection experience
