Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed lifting plans risk assessments and method statements for all heavy lift and rigging activities.
Review engineering drawings to determine load weights lift points and equipment requirements.
Evaluate and select appropriate cranes lifting gear and rigging equipment based on project needs.
Oversee on-site heavy lifting operations to ensure safe and efficient execution.
Conduct inspections of rigging equipment and ensure certification and maintenance records are up to date.
Provide technical guidance to construction teams and subcontractors on rigging and lifting best practices.
Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure full compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Monitor lifting activities to identify hazards and implement corrective actions when required.
Support incident investigations related to lifting or rigging operations..
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline (preferred).
Experience in rigging and heavy lifting on large-scale industrial oil & gas or EPC projects.
Certification as a Rigging Supervisor Appointed Person or Lift Planner (e.g. LEEA NCCCO CITB).
Strong knowledge of cranes lifting tools rigging gear and associated standards.
Proven experience in planning and executing critical lifts.
Familiarity with HSE requirements and lifting-related safety regulations.
