Client Manager (m/f/d)

In this strategically important position you will be responsible for the successful development and expansion of client relationships with multinational companies while keeping an eye on the full range of Mercer and Marsh Germanys services. You already bring valuable sales and relationship management expertise within a consulting function and are eager to promote our entire product portfolio which enjoys an excellent reputation Then we look forward to receiving your application!

What the position involves:

  • Responsibility for all client management and sales activities across all business units of Mercer Germany including:
    • Building and expanding relationships with multinational and German Mittelstand companies based in Germany
    • Build maintain and deepen trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers including C-suite executives across German-client portfolio. Act as the primary client advocate and trusted partner ensuring Mercers (and where applicable Marsh McLennans) solutions align with client business strategies and needs.
    • Drive revenue growth and profitability within the designated portfolio by developing and executing comprehensive 360 client management strategies. Identify and pursue new business opportunities expand the mix of Mercer (and where applicable Marsh McLennan) products and services and meet agreed financial targets by enhancing the Mercer (Marsh McLennan) footprint with the German client base.
    • Targeted business development activities to ensure a strong and healthy sales pipeline across all business areas
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Provide expert advice and informed recommendations by leveraging Mercers (and where applicable Marsh McLennans) product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of client risks and needs. Ensure solutions are customized compliant and aligned with Mercers business standards.
  • Manage motivate and coordinate client teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes including leading RFPs project implementation and ongoing service delivery. Foster a collaborative environment that leverages Mercers expertise to bring the best solutions to clients

What you need to have:

  • Several years of experience in managing complex and large scale client relationships within the German market with a strong focus on sales and business development
  • Deep understanding of people-related business challenges and the ability to translate client needs into actionable Mercer solutions.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required to maintain client relationships and attend industry events.
  • Fluent German and English skills (business fluent)
