As a Credit Strategy Associatewithin the Chase Auto Credit Decisioning Unit you will support credit leadership in analyzing consumer credit performance contributing to strategic initiatives and assisting with portfolio risk management. Reporting to the Credit Strategy leadership team you will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to monitor portfolio trends prepare reports and help implement credit strategies.
Job responsibilities
- Assist with credit analysis and portfolio performance monitoringto help identify risk trends and shifts in key metrics.
- Support the development and maintenance of underwriting guidelines policy documentation and risk frameworksin line with business priorities.
- Prepare data-driven reports presentations and insightsfor credit leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Help evaluate credit exposures and recommend risk mitigation actionsfor standard credit scenarios following established policies.
- Collaborate with Risk Underwriting and Finance teamsto help operationalize credit strategy and improve decisioning processes.
- Participate in special projectsrelated to credit strategy portfolio optimization and risk governance.
- Engage in ongoing learning and developmentto build expertise in credit strategy risk models and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelors degreein finance economics business data analytics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experiencein consumer credit credit risk portfolio analytics underwriting or related functions at a financial institution or credit analytics organization.
- Strong analytical skillswith the ability to interpret data identify trends and support actionable conclusions.
- Basic understanding of consumer credit products credit risk concepts and portfolio performance drivers.
- Proficiency in Excel and quantitative tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skillsto present findings and recommendations to business partners.
- Team-oriented mindsetand ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity and eagerness to learnabout credit strategy risk models and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
