Senior Microsoft BI Engineer

Purpose

The Senior Microsoft BI Software Engineer / Consultant is a key member of the Common Data Intelligence (CDI) Hub responsible for the end-to-end development delivery and operation of enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions. The role combines deep hands-on development with solution ownership technical leadership and mentoring ensuring BI solutions are scalable secure reliable and aligned with business needs.

Team / Project Description

The Common Data Intelligence (CDI) Hub is an enterprise analytics organization responsible for building and operating standardized Data Warehouse and BI solutions across multiple business domains. The team works in an agile collaborative environment delivering high-quality analytics products used by international stakeholders.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Design develop and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse and BI solutions from concept through production and support.
• Take end-to-end ownership of BI solutions leading implementation deployment and continuous improvement.
• Develop advanced SQL solutions on Microsoft SQL Server including performance-optimized queries and data models.
• Translate business requirements into scalable maintainable and secure BI architectures.
• Implement and continuously enhance security access control and data protection concepts within BI solutions.
• Drive solution optimization initiatives improving performance reliability and maintainability.
• Supervise acceptance testing and ensure high-quality delivery standards are met.
• Oversee end-user support and operational stability ensuring reliable production systems.
• Act as a senior technical leader within the CDI Hub providing guidance mentoring and knowledge sharing for junior developers.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers analysts and stakeholders to solve complex data challenges.
• Work in an agile development environment actively managing backlog tasks and delivery using Jira.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards best practices and ways of working.
• Support solution design and architectural discussions as a senior BI expert.

Qualifications :

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• have a degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a comparable field
• have strong senior-level experience in Microsoft BI development Expert
• have advanced experience across Data Warehouse Reporting and Dashboarding solutions
• have deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and advanced SQL development Expert
• have strong knowledge of performance-aware query design and dimensional data modeling
• have experience taking end-to-end ownership of BI solutions from development through production and support
• have experience implementing and enhancing security and access concepts within BI environments
• have proven ability to drive solution improvements optimizations and technical quality
• have experience supervising acceptance testing and ensuring delivery readiness
• have experience supporting operational stability and end-user support for production BI systems
• act as a senior contributor within a BI development team providing technical leadership and mentoring
• enjoy knowledge sharing and collaborative problem solving in cross-functional teams
• have strong experience working in agile development environments
• have daily hands-on experience using Jira for backlog task and delivery management
• have a solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical thinking and structured working style
• have the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions
• communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• are comfortable working in large international data & analytics environments

POSSIBLE SPECIALIZATION

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI for enterprise reporting and visualization
• Exposure to SaaS-based BI platforms or cloud-native analytics solutions
• Experience acting as a solution designer or technical lead
• Knowledge of enterprise security identity and access concepts in BI systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts in BI or data platform environments

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100 /brutto.
