We are seeking a visionary Director of Application & System Architecture to lead the definition and delivery of advanced semiconductorbased system solutions across Industrial and IoT markets. You will guide a team of architects shape crossdomain solution roadmaps and drive alignment between customer needs market trends and Renesas product strategies. This role requires deep technical expertise strong leadership and the ability to influence across business units and global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and grow a highperforming team of system and application architects.
- Define systemlevel solutions for Industrial and IoT applications using Renesas MCUs/MPUs SoCs power devices sensors and connectivity.
- Translate customer problems and market trends into system requirements architecture definitions and longterm solution roadmaps.
- Align system architecture strategies with Product Groups solution marketing and engineering teams.
- Drive HW/SW partitioning interface definition and system integration with focus on cost performance scalability and manufacturability.
- Oversee system specifications (SRDs) reference designs simulation workflows and realworld usecase validation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g. ASIL SIL/IEC EMC cybersecurity).
- Conduct competitive benchmarking identify capability gaps and guide PG roadmaps with strategic insight.
- Support customer engagements codevelopment activities and complex system design reviews.
- Promote internal knowledge sharing standards best practices and crossdomain architecture methodologies.
- Collaborate with ecosystem partners startups and academic institutions to evaluate emerging technologies.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
- 12 years in system/application architecture with 3 years in technical leadership.
- Strong background in embedded systems across Industrial or IoT applications.
- Experience with mixedsignal design embedded software power electronics and realtime control.
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation (e.g. Simulink PLECS SPICE).
- Knowledge of (CANFD Ethernet ISO 26262) industrial (EtherCAT Modbus) and IoT connectivity standards.
- Excellent analytical skills communication abilities and crossfunctional leadership experience.
- Fluent in English; German or other EU languages are a plus.
