ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to future projects and work load we are looking for a Planning Manager to work alongside Project Managers PMO teams ensuring schedules and work packages are maintained across the entire project life-cycle. Reporting to the Head of PMO you will join a small friendly team that looks after Earth Observation Science and Exploration in the UK and be functionally embedded within the assigned project.
Responsibilities include:
Own the project schedule - planning flagging risks resource loading progress vs planning ensure the PMO and Project teams are aware of pertinent information
Ensure a schedule tracking of all activities according to the anticipated progress review cycles (typically max. one months duration)
Ensure an active Project schedule and interface management (internally & externally) PMO Manager co-ordinates if assigned
Ensure the integration of all detailed plans of different work packages including suppliers and partners into one coherent schedule
Define milestones for tracking including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for milestone achievement
Requirements:
Passionate about sharing knowledge and communicating the importance of schedules for a successful project
Standard scheduling tools (e.g. Unified Planning MS Project Premavira
