Job Summary

Position Description


Job Summary:

Plan direct and oversee the operations workflow and fiscal health of sub-division requiring subject matter expertise. Will manage various aspects of construction projects renovations and repairs and facilitate the general building maintenance program and cleaning services to protect against malfunctions or facility and equipment addition will receive and review work orders manage construction scheduling and communication delegate work orders to appropriate trades or responsible parties liaise with project managers concerning estimates subcontracting progress delays and risks. Supervise facility maintenance coordinators and technicians contractors Building Operating Systems (BOS) / Universal Services (US) personnel and the cleaning/logistics team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan implement maintain work systems procedures and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance of people and other resources

  • Prepare and maintain reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for management as necessary or requested to track strategic goal accomplishment.

  • Manage the overall operational budgetary and financial responsibilities and activities of the department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in related field of practice; Experience may substitute for education

Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of related experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications which could include Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint

Licensure:

  • Valid Texas State Drivers License

  • Industry related certification

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of department industry best practices contract management and facility code and compliance

  • Knowledge and ability in preparing annual budgets monitoring expenditures coordinating requests for quotes and facilitating procurement of all materials and services required for construction and maintenance projects.

  • Skilled at providing leadership in ways that engages and motivates personnel promotes a safe work culture and ensures all activities align with departmental policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of managing building renovations/repairs and office moves.

General Information

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in both an indoor and outdoor environment

  • Exposure to various weather conditions temperature variations loud noises and possible dangerous chemicals may be encountered.

Physical Demands:

  • This is a physically active position which requires exerting in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Subject to kneeling crouching walking sitting twisting and reaching are needed to perform the essential functions at various job sites (inside and outside)

  • At times items and/or equipment must be transported



Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
