Job Summary
MTU Maintenance Fort Worthis part of the worlds largest independent jet engine MRO company based in Germany providing aftermarket and OEM-licensed engine maintenance services worldwide. As a part of MTU Aero Engines with over 80 years of experience in the design development and production of jet engine components modules and engines; MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 4000 employees with over 35 years of experience in the MRO market.
MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30 commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18000 shop visits for over 1400 customers worldwide. Within this Global network MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Logistics Handler
Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person the Material handler is responsible for the movement of products (materials components) to supply department needs. Also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates material handling equipment independently as well as within a team environment
- Moves material to appropriate destinations
- Stage and wrap pallets including but not limited to finished goods blend and raw materials
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Organizes and maintains materials and other components in storage or staging area
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Personal responsibility for following safety rules SOPs and cGMPs
- Dispose of production waste
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Bi-lingual is a plus
- Prior manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
- Must be able to read write and understand English.
- Some computer skills and strong math skills (addition subtraction percentages averages)
Roles Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment including bending twisting and standing for up to 8 hours
