This is a full-time permanent non-virtual position based in São Paulo Brazil.

This role is designed exclusively for university bachelors degree recent graduates in the last 24 months in Computer Science or related field.

As Software Development Engineer(s) selected candidate(s) will have the chance to have an impact on thousands of Amazon customers (from buyers and sellers to Amazon employees) while working with industry-leading technologies. Amazons LATAM Software Development Engineering organization is growing and were looking for Software Engineer(s) with technical coding/programming academic background who thrive on learning from complex problems and are able to face challenges while working with multiple technical teams at Amazon.

The selected candidate(s) is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle including but not limited to: design development documentation testing and operations. They will be an integral part of a team that encourages experimentation and innovation on behalf of our customers. This role will directly participate in building and correcting software in partnership with other developers within the organization.
Within this role selected candidate(s) will not only code but also drive the direction of the software architecture and team best practices.

Alongside their technical team selected candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by thousands of Amazon customers and own end-to-end customer experience of the services and features that are built. As an Software Development Engineer at Amazon you will play a pivotal role in the following:
- Work with the team to help drive business decisions.
- Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimizations cost and security.
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Brazil geographic markets. The base pay for this full-time permanent position ranges from BRL R$9500 to BRL R$ 10500 per month (in addition to Amazon Restricted Stock Units and Sign-on Payments in Year 1 and Year 2).

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive design and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Collaborate to design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
- Collaborate to create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Collaborate to build distributed storage index and query systems that are scalable fault-tolerant low cost and easy to manage/use.
- Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

Prior applying please consider:
- Per Return to Office (RTO) guidance selected candidate(s) will be required to work five days per week from Amazon corporate building in Sao Paulo.
- Amazon is a multinational technology company with English as its core business language and your hiring team may be located in different jurisdictions. CVs must be submitted in English in order to be eligible for consideration.

- Completed university bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field in the last 24 months OR currently enrolled in last semester of Bachelors degree OR current Masters/Doctorates student in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language(s): Java HTML/CSS Python SQL C C etc.
- Knowledge of data structures algorithms arrays hash tables and graphs and problem solving.
- Intermediate/advanced English proficiency B2 or higher.

- Previous Software Development internship experience.
