Skill Stork International School is seeking an experienced PSPE Teacher (IB-PYP) to deliver high-quality Physical Social and Personal Education in alignment with the IB Primary Years Programme philosophy.
The PSPE Teacher will be responsible for nurturing students physical development social skills emotional wellbeing and personal responsibility through inquiry-based learning experiences. The role requires close collaboration with classroom teachers to support transdisciplinary learning and holistic child development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging PSPE lessons aligned with IB-PYP framework
Promote student wellbeing fitness teamwork and self-management
Design age-appropriate physical activities and health education modules
Integrate PSPE objectives into Units of Inquiry
Ensure student safety supervision and safeguarding at all times
Assess student progress using IB-aligned assessment practices
Maintain records reflections and evidence for IB documentation
Collaborate with PYP teachers coordinators and school leadership
Participate actively in school events sports days and wellness programs
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience
Prior experience working with Primary Years (Grades 15)
Strong understanding of child development & student wellbeing
Familiarity with IB learner profile ATL skills and inquiry-based learning
Ability to manage classes outdoor activities and sports safely
Strong communication collaboration and classroom management skills
Commitment to child safeguarding and school policies
Employment Commitment Requirement
- Full-Time On-Campus Role: This is a full-time on-campus position requiring complete professional commitment to the school.
- Exclusivity of Service: Concurrent employment freelance work or private tuition during the academic year is strictly not permitted.
- Academic Restrictions: Pursuing any regular academic programme (full-time or part-time) that interferes with school responsibilities is not permissible.
- Professional Focus: Candidates must be able to fully dedicate their time and professional focus to the school its students and all departmental initiatives.
- Disclosure: Any short-term or online certifications being pursued must be disclosed at the time of application.
