Job Summary
At Halls we are looking for a reliable and dedicated Class 4 Driver to join our team at our Christchurch depot. Halls is searching for someone who can be the friendly face of our business and deliver chilled and or frozen freight whilst providing outstanding service for our customers.
Delivering with Care
- Conduct pre-trip safety and temperature checks.
- Ensure safe loading unloading and secure deliveries.
- Follow efficient routes and provide on-time service.
- Complete accurate paperwork and report any issues.
Looking After Your Truck
- Perform daily checks and report maintenance needs.
- Drive safely and efficiently using equipment properly.
- Keep your truck clean and fuelled.
Great Customer Service
- Communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
- Represent Halls with pride
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role youll need:
- A full & clean Class 4 license with a minimum of 3 years NZ Class 4 driving experience
- Experience driving truck & trailer semis and b-trains
- Proficient in reversing units coupling & uncoupling
- Have a working knowledge of EROAD & TruckMate
- Possesses a self-motivated and can-do attitude
We are after someone who has the level of physical fitness required for this kind of role. The work is primarily operating our metro run (around town) and requires physicality.
