Job Summary
Location: This position is based in our Campbell California offices on-site & full-time.Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

What Youll Do
This position works alongside the engineering team and individually to assist in projects focused on neurovascular and peripheral product improvements for existing products within R&D.
- Participate in the design and development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures
- Design plan and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate device safety
- Review test data against established acceptance criteria and write appropriate test reports
- Interact with engineers to understand product requirements
- Document relevant information (i.e.. new ideas test results build procedure etc.) in lab notebook according to good laboratory practices or company procedure
- Assist in bench lab work and on material efforts
What Youll Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an engineering discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Familiar with R&D equipment used for prototyping common medical devices (hot boxes adhesives soldering bonding fuse joining)
- Able to use SolidWorks for drawing and designing tooling fixtures devices and related items
- Knowledge of materials (Polymers Metals Chemicals) as related to medical devices
- Familiarity with CAD machining and rapid prototyping tools a plus tensile simulated use or other test methods related to the project
- Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
- Good interpersonal skills effective communication and partnership with R&D and other cross-functional departments

Salary: $29/hourly for 10 week internship
