This is a great opportunity to begin your Finance career with a leading retailer based in Nottingham. You will be supported from day one as you progress in your new role with some great opportunities for additional learning and development to expand your knowledge within Finance.

What youll be doing

In this role you will report to the Senior Finance Analyst within the Supplier Funding and Recovery Audit team. The Finance Assistant is part of a team who are accountable for supporting the delivery of efficient and effective supplier funding processes across the Boots UK & Ireland business.

Key responsibilities

Ensure that all Supplier Funding invoices are raised in accordance with best practice.

Actively build and maintain strong working relationships and effective communications with internal and external customers. e.g. suppliers customers finance colleagues and Boots trading teams to increase efficiency and enable us to build trusted ways of working to comply with best practice;

Produce financial calculations through Excel within an agreed time frame and work with stakeholders to obtain approval of these calculations;

Develop good working relationships with other team members to promote efficient working and an understanding of the wider departmental processes to achieve the team objectives;

Ensure all required internal controls are adhered to maintain a robust control environment.

What youll need to have (our must-haves)

Influential and confident to manage challenge competing priorities and high volumes in a fast-paced environment.

A will to deliver and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

It would be great if you also have

SAP experience would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.

Working knowledge of computer software systems and accounting procedures an advantage.
