Job Summary
Position Title: Medical-Surgical Neurology Registered Nurse (Med-Surg Neuro RN)
Location: Fort Walton-Destin FL
Shift: Days Only (7a-7p)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical-Surgical Neurology RN to join our team. The RN will provide care for ill injured and recovering adult patients in a patient-centered care model. This role requires autonomous clinical assessments and decision-making while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
Collect comprehensive patient data pertinent to their health or situation.
Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
Develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
Promote patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Ensure effective use of time supplies and equipment.
Educate patients and families on medications procedures and treatments providing ongoing support throughout their stay.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required.
Licensure: Florida RN license or multistate license; must obtain Florida license if relocating.
Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); BSN preferred.
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to start.
NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Shadow/Interview Process:
Initial 30-minute phone call with recruiter
1-hour video call or 2-hour onsite interview with Director and team
