Job Summary

Position Title: ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse

Location - Sanford FL

Shifts Available:

Days (Rotating Weekends)
Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable ICU Stepdown RN to provide care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. The RN will make independent clinical judgments manage treatments autonomously and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Collect comprehensive patient data and analyze assessments to determine clinical needs
Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
Use clinical judgment to safely and effectively manage patient care
Monitor critical vital signs and intervene in life-threatening situations
Educate patients and families regarding medications procedures and treatments
Support patients and families throughout their stay

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU Stepdown RN experience; candidates with 3 years of Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience may also be considered
Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days)
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of start
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of start
ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months of start
