Skill Stork International School is seeking an experienced Drama / Theatre Arts Teacher to deliver high-quality Drama education across IB (MYP / DP) and Cambridge (IGCSE / ASA Level) programmes.
The role involves developing students acting performance communication creativity and critical thinking skills through inquiry-based and performance-driven learning. The teacher will also lead school productions theatre showcases and interdisciplinary arts initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Drama / Theatre Arts as per IB PYP / MYP / DP and Cambridge IGCSE / ASA Level frameworks
Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering acting voice movement improvisation and script work
Guide students in devising theatre character development and performance analysis
Prepare students for assessments portfolios performances and reflective evaluations
Direct and manage school theatre productions assemblies and cultural events
Collaborate with Performing Arts English and Humanities departments
Maintain safe inclusive and disciplined rehearsal and performance environments
Support student confidence creativity and expressive communication
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Drama / Theatre Arts / Performing Arts (mandatory)
Masters Degree in Theatre / Performing Arts (preferred)
Formal training or certification in IB MYP / DP Drama and/or Cambridge Drama
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in IB and/or Cambridge schools
Strong expertise in acting techniques stagecraft voice movement and improvisation
Experience in directing school productions and theatre showcases
Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
Strong communication collaboration and organisational abilities
Willingness to contribute to school events performances and arts initiatives
Employment Commitment Requirement
Full-Time On-Campus Role: This is a full-time on-campus position requiring complete professional commitment to the school.
Exclusivity of Service: Concurrent employment freelance work or private tuition during the academic year is strictly not permitted.
Academic Restrictions: Pursuing any regular academic programme (full-time or part-time) that interferes with school responsibilities is not permissible.
Professional Focus: Candidates must be able to fully dedicate their time and professional focus to the school its students and all departmental initiatives.
Disclosure: Any short-term or online certifications being pursued must be disclosed at the time of application.
