Position Summary
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography and radiologic imaging procedures under the general supervision of a Radiologist. This role requires independent judgment technical expertise and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. The technologist provides imaging services to patients across the lifespan from neonates to geriatric populations while ensuring safety quality and accuracy in all examinations.
Responsibilities
Perform CT and radiologic imaging procedures with minimal technical supervision.
Apply prescribed ionizing radiation safely and accurately following established protocols.
Exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing examinations.
Ensure patient safety comfort and dignity throughout imaging procedures.
Prepare position and educate patients for imaging exams.
Maintain responsibility for designated imaging areas and equipment.
Adhere to all safety infection control and quality assurance standards.
Deliver high-quality imaging services with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
Acute care experience required for freestanding emergency department assignments
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Active Florida State Radiologic Technologist license
BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start date)
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT Registered Radiographer (R) and CT certification
Experience working in emergency or fast-paced imaging environments
