Position Overview:
The Transcript Editor / Proofreader is responsible for reviewing and refining transcripts generated from client sessions. This role ensures all documents are grammatically correct professionally formatted and accurately reflect the content of the recordings. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail strong language skills and a commitment to maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality. This is a fully remote role with flexible scheduling.
Requirements
Proven experience in editing proofreading or transcription preferably in healthcare counselling or mental health settings.
Exceptional command of English grammar punctuation and spelling.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with transcription formatting standards and professional style guides.
Proficiency with word processing software and transcription review tools.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
Excellent communication skills for clarifying ambiguous sections with team members when needed.
