Job Summary

Position Title: RN Cardiac Neuro (Stroke Unit)

Location:Sanford Florida
Shifts Available: Days (Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical-Surgical / Cardiac Neuro RN to provide patient-centered care for adult stroke neuro and med-surg patients. The RN will perform clinical assessments deliver treatments autonomously and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Collect comprehensive patient data and analyze assessments to identify issues and diagnoses
Develop and implement individualized care plans with expected outcomes
Monitor critical vital signs and intervene in life-threatening situations
Advocate for patient safety and quality care
Educate patients and families regarding medications procedures and treatments
Ensure efficient use of time supplies and equipment in patient care
Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 12 years) Acute Care RN Med-Surg / Telemetry experience required
- Candidates with acute rehab experience (Kindred Encompass HealthSouth Select Specialty) may also be considered if comfortable working in a stroke unit
Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days)
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred
NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of start
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of start
ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months of start
