WHAT YOULL OWN
Responsibility: Emergency Response & Resident Safety 20%Time
- Respondimmediatelyand appropriately to emergency or disaster situations acting within the scope of duties for an Independent Living setting.
- Monitor and respond to the Momentum Emergency Alert System and coordinate emergency services asindicated.
- Communicate with resident emergency contacts when residents are transported to the hospital.
- Completetimelyandaccurateincident reports forappropriateand confidential distribution;maintainincident tracking logs.
- Provide overnight safety or visual checks for residents when time-limited monitoring isindicateddue to acute illness or injury.
Responsibility: Resident Support and Coordination 50% Time
- Respondimmediatelyand appropriately to emergency or disaster situations acting within the scope of duties for an Independent Living setting.
- Monitor and respond to the Momentum Emergency Alert System and coordinate emergency services asindicated.
- Communicate with resident emergency contacts when residents are transported to the hospital.
- Completetimelyandaccurateincident reports forappropriateand confidential distribution;maintainincident tracking logs.
- Provide overnight safety or visual checks for residents when time-limited monitoring isindicateddue to acute illness or injury.
Responsibility: Systems Safety Programs & Campus Security 20% Time
- Manage and support the Momentum Emergency Alert System in Independent Living including routine monitoring and maintenance as directed.
- Complete daily resident safety and wellness check-ins on day shifts.
- Conduct frequent walking rounds and door checks to ensure campus safety and building security.
- Maintain community AED machines on a bi-monthly basis.
Responsibility: Administrative & Team Support 10% Time
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED
- High school diploma or GEDrequired.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- One year of experience in providing urgent response and personal care preferred.
- Working knowledge of emergency response procedures and safety practicesappropriate toan Independent Living setting.
- Understanding of resident safety principles including fall response emergency escalation and basic first aid withinscopeof practice.
- Knowledge of incident reporting requirements documentation standards and confidentiality expectations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly during emergencies.
- Ability to respond physically and promptly to emergency situations including walking rounds and rapid response to alerts.
- Ability to remain awake alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts.
