Locum Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in Lansing MI
Join a dynamic Float Pool of providers at a bustling medical facility in Lansing Michigan dedicated to providing top-notch emergency medicine care. With a trauma level 3 designation and an annual ER volume of 40000 patients this practice offers a supportive environment with full nursing staff and APP coverage. The facility utilizes a Cerner EHR system ensuring efficient patient management. As part of your role you will supervise other healthcare providers including APPs and residents to deliver exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume setting.
- Supervise and collaborate with healthcare providers including APPs and residents.
- Perform necessary procedures such as suturing lumbar punctures and emergency resuscitation.
- Manage and support both adult and pediatric patients including those with psychiatric concerns.
- Evaluate and manage acute medical conditions efficiently.
- Maintain effective communication with the nursing staff and hospitalists regarding patient care.
- Participate in Fast Track care for lower acuity cases.
Qualifications:
- ABEM or AOBEM board certification (required).
- Emergency department experience (highly preferred).
- Current Michigan medical license (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- Local candidates preferred no exceptions.
- Clean background for quick credentialing (required).
- Submission of rates and shift preference upon application (required).
- Recent NPDB self-query report (should be less than 30 days old; required).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Michigan medical license (no IMLC accepted).
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine (required).
- BLS certification (required).
