The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in an ACGME-approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Medical student education will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Pennsylvania addition the candidate will be responsible for preparing learning materials and lectures teaching posters and presentations for national review.
Clinical responsibilities may include the interpretation of Computed Tomography Magnetic Resonance Imaging Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy of the body. Prior experience in image-guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required. The successful candidate will also participate in the Abdominal Imaging off-hour on-call program including evenings nights and weekend coverage.
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PAVMC) as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania New Jersey and Delaware.
